Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for women in crisis, experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
Vision
Through compassionate care, education, and community collaboration, we strive to empower women to be self-sufficient. Our vision is to be a beacon of hope for women, their children, and their pets.
Change of plans
Gala postponed- our work continues!
After prayerful consideration, The Well board has decided to postpone our fundraising gala to a later date. We recognize that the community is generously supporting many events and fundraisers through the rest of the year, and we don’t want to add to that demand or divert resources from other local nonprofits.
We are continuing to pray for God’s guidance and provision as we move forward in faith, trusting that God will provide all that is needed to develop a safe haven for women in crisis here in Aransas County.
Meanwhile, we had an amazing meeting on October 29th with local church leaders. We shared the great need for a women’s shelter in our area, our vision and ideas, and we invited their input. We are confident that postponement was the right decision, and it allows us more time to work on this mission. In God’s timing, we will reschedule. Thank you for your prayers and support!
